Bicycle repair and maintenance

Brainbox Technology undertakes the repair of the bicycles of the rental system on the basis of a support contract. Repair is done under RMA process. The company, through its partnerships, has a specialized and numerous network of technical bicycles in Greece and Cyprus, covering all areas.

Bicycles are repaired either on site or by transporting the bicycles to the workshop. Before returning the bicycles to the rental points, a thorough check of their operation is carried out in order to ensure that they work properly, while at the same time necessary operating points such as brakes, lights, saddle, etc. are adjusted.

The easybike system software has a dedicated mobile phone app that notifies the workshop of any malfunctions or damage to stations and bikes.

Preventive and regular bicycle maintenance

The same software also informs the competent technicians about the need to redistribute bikes when the number of bikes in a station approaches the available capacity.

Redistribution of bicycles

For the proper operation of the system, it is necessary to redistribute bicycles during the day in order to avoid congestion at some stations and a lack of bicycles at others, as a specific flow of traffic is usually followed at different times of the day.

To solve the issue, a plan is being followed to redistribute the bicycles during the day in order for the system to function smoothly. The redistribution is done by a special vehicle that moves within the city and collects bicycles from certain places and places them in others where there are no bicycles available. Notifications for shortage and overcrowding of bikes come automatically from the system.

BRAINBOX has special software installed on a mobile phone that communicates with the easybike system and is updated in real time on the proper operation of the stations and the capacity of each station. In case of damage or exceeding the number of bicycles at a station, the maintenance staff using the software is informed and immediately intervenes by repairing damages and redistributing the bicycles accordingly.
