Although the easybike bike rental systems are simple and easy to use, a little help is often required. We have collected here, and present to you, questions and answers about shared bikes that we hope will help you gain a deeper understanding of how the system works and solve any questions you may have. I don't know how to pick up a bike

Picking up a bike is done in seconds by following 3 simple steps.

Step 1 – You go to any rental station and using the easybike electronic card you have received or the easybike application you have downloaded to your mobile phone, you release a bike and start your journey.

Step 2 – You use the bike for as long as you need, using the special lock if needed for short-term parking outside the rental stations.

Step 3 – You return the bike to any rental station. You simply place the bike on any available parking base where it locks. The bike is automatically recognized by the system and the rental time and the corresponding fee are calculated. The amount corresponding to the rental according to the applicable price list is automatically deducted from the balance of the easybike electronic card or your credit card. When returning the bike, make sure that the bike is properly secured in the lock. In case you face problems when receiving or returning the bike, contact us.

I received a bike but I don't know how to return it

3 simple steps are required to return the bike. If you still cannot return your bike, please contact support.

You return the bike to any rental station. You simply place the bike on any available parking base where it locks. The bike is automatically recognized by the system and the rental time and the corresponding fee are calculated. The amount corresponding to the rental according to the applicable price list is automatically deducted from the balance of your easybike electronic card or credit card.

What is the maximum permitted time of use of the bicycle?

You can use the bike for as long as you wish. However, don’t forget that the bike sharing system is a short-term rental system. We ONLY use the bikes for as long as they need us and then return them to one of the rental stations so that they are available to other users. In this way we avoid large charges and contribute to the service of other users.

The maximum permitted time of use of the bicycle is 24 hours. After 24 hours from the start of the rental, the bike is considered stolen.

I arrived at a station to return my bike but there are no free parking spaces. What should I do?

Find out at the rental station or online about the available parking spaces at each station and take the bike to the nearest rental station from where you are to return it.

What should I look out for when picking up a bike?

Once you have received a bicycle, you should check its ability to transport you safely to your destination. The main points you should check are: The tires, the brakes, the gears, the lighting (if it is night) and the movement of the bike, i.e. the chain. If the bike has a problem with its systems, you can return it within a short time of receipt (free of charge) and receive another one. In this case notify the system by reporting the fault to the station or contact the support department and report the fault.

Is my credit card charge secure?

Your credit card billing process is certified by VISAMASTERCARD and is governed by the strictest security rules whether it is carried out online or at the special certified card readers at the rental stations. Certification in online connections is done through redirection in the bank’s environment, while at stations it is done through Chip Pin technology.

However, if you use your credit card at the rental stations you should always check that no one is following you to intercept your card details and/or codes.

I can't return the bike to the system. What should I do?

If you are unable to return the bike you received, please contact the support department immediately to declare this inability and avoid unnecessary charges.

The bike I received has developed a problem and I am far from the rental station. What should I do?

If you find a problem with the bike you have received and you are far from the rental station, notify the support department.

I detected some system malfunction or vandalism. What should I do?

Report it IMMEDIATELY to support.
